Our Partnerships
Sheffield First Partnership is tasked with ensuring the delivery of the Sheffield City Strategy and the Sheffield First Agreement. The Partnership Board oversees the development and collective performance of the Sheffield First ‘family’ of partnerships.
The Partnership delivers through its Partnership Boards and through the coordinated actions of its partners.
The above diagram summarises the structure. Each part of the Partnerships is responsible for delivery of a specific element of the overall Sheffield City Strategy.
The family of Partnership Boards comprises:
- Sheffield First Partnership board - responsible for setting the vision for Sheffield and ensuring delivery of the City Strategy.
- Successful Neighbourhoods Partnership – responsible for delivering our ambition to make every neighbourhood in the city a successful neighbourhood.
- Inclusive and Cosmopolitan City Partnership – responsible for ensuring Sheffield is a city where all are welcome and are able to enjoy the same opportunities.
- Health and Well-being Partnership - responsible for ensuring that all of Sheffield’s communities have good health and well-being.
- Safer Communities Partnership – responsible for improving community safety and reducing crime across the city.
- Environment Partnership – responsible for overseeing Sheffield’s approach to achieving environmental excellence.
- Children and Young People 0-19+ Partnership Board - oversees and sets the framework for all local partners in ensuring children and young people are healthy, safe and able to fulfil their potential.
- City Economic Strategy Group – to coordinate the work on the various dimensions of transforming our economy.
- Creative Sheffield - UK's first city development company taking the lead on the Economic Masterplan for the city, attracting quality inward investment, strategic marketing, developing the city's physical infrastructure and developing initiatives to promote the growth of the city's knowledge economy.
- Culture and Sport Board - oversees the implementation of the Culture Strategy and ensures that culture plays its part in securing the overall success of the city.
- Work and Skills Board – responsible for improving the skills profile of the city’s workforce and reducing the number of people out of work and claiming benefit.
- Local Economy Board - responsible for maximising the contribution of the local economy to the city and improving the level of entrepreneurship and small businesses in the most deprived parts of the city.
